Join us on an exciting full-day adventure to the beautiful San Bernardo Islands, located approximately 2 hours away from Cartagena. These stunning islands boast crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and vibrant coral reefs.
During the tour, we make a stop at the Islote de Santa Cruz, a tiny island that is home to a unique community of people. This small island has a population of less than 100 people, making it one of the most densely populated places on Earth!
Despite its small size, the Islote de Santa Cruz has a rich cultural history that our guides will share with you. You will have the opportunity to meet the locals and learn about their way of life, which has remained virtually unchanged for generations. As you explore the island, you will also have the chance to admire the colorful houses and four streets that make up this charming community.
We also visit a couple of other undeveloped islands that are protected by the designation of a national forest. We stop for lunch at Isla Mucura and visit Isla Palma and Isla Tintipán, depending on how much time we have. Some guests decide to stay overnight and pay for 2 days on the boat, which we recommend as the best option.
Our experienced guides will share their knowledge of the area's rich history and ecology throughout the tour, making this an educational and unforgettable experience.
