PA’UE Beach Lounge sits on its own stretch of the Rosario Islands, 45 minutes by speedboat from Cartagena — driftwood decks under the trees, sun beds at the waterline, and water that runs from jade to deep turquoise.

The day pass is a complete day out, not just an entry ticket. You are picked up at Muelle de la Bodeguita at 7:15 AM, cross the bay on a sport boat with a panoramic run through the archipelago, and arrive to a glass of champagne. From there the island is yours: sun beds, a beach bed, hammocks, kayaks and paddle boards, a full lunch with eight dishes to choose from, and an Endless Happy Hour that runs 2×1 all day long. Boats head back at 3:00 PM.

Meeting point: Muelle de la Bodeguita, Gate #4 — be there at 7:15 AM. The crossing takes about 45 minutes.

Return: boats leave the island at 3:00 PM. Return times can shift with weather or DIMAR instructions.

Not included in the ticket price: port tax and national park entry, $31,500 COP per person, paid on the day.

Outside food and drinks may not be brought onto the island. Pregnant guests and those travelling with infants in arms do so at their own responsibility.

7:15 AM · Muelle de la Bodeguita

Check in at Gate #4 and board a sport boat for the run out to the Rosario Islands. Water is on board for the crossing, and the route takes in a 45-minute panoramic tour of the archipelago on the way — Bocachica, the mangrove channels, and the scattered private islands that make up the chain.

Mid-morning · Arrival at PA’UE

A glass of champagne on arrival — lemonade for the kids — and then the day is unstructured. Claim a sun bed or a beach bed, string yourself into a hammock, and use the common areas: bathrooms, dining decks, the beach zone. Kayaks and paddle boards are included and free to take out whenever you like. The Endless Happy Hour runs 2×1 all day: Cuba libre, gin tonic, vodka tonic, margarita, mimosa, house wine, tinto de verano, and national beers.

Lunch, then 3:00 PM departure

Lunch is served with eight dishes to choose from and a non-alcoholic drink included — whole red snapper island style, posta de sierra, grilled chicken breast, pasta or rice with vegetables, creamy shrimp rice, chicken nuggets, or grilled tilapia fillet. Afterwards there is time for one more swim before boats leave the island at 3:00 PM and run back to Cartagena.

PA’UE suits people who want a real beach club day rather than a boat tour that stops at several islands for twenty minutes each. You get one island, all day, with somewhere comfortable to put your things down.

The 2×1 bar runs the entire day rather than for a set happy hour, which makes the price behave very differently from clubs charging per drink. Lunch is a proper sit-down meal with eight options, not a fixed plate. And because kayaks and paddle boards are included, there is something to do beyond the sun bed without paying for extras.

It works well for couples, groups of friends, and families — children 4 to 7 have their own rate, and the crossing is short enough not to eat the day. Guests arriving on their own boat can pay the cover charge and use the club for the day.
